The Conservative Group at Wyre Forest District Council welcome Cllr Ben Brookes, who was duly elected on 16th June for the Franche and Habberley North Ward.
Due to the resignation of an Independent Health Concern Councillor for the District ward of Franche and Habberley North a by election took place on 16th June. The local Conservative Group are delighted that Ben Brookes was elected, gaining 45% of the vote. The Conservatives are now represented by 14 Councillors on the District Council, and will continue to hold the Progressive Alliance to account on the poor management of the District Council.
Leader of the WFDC Conservative Group, Cllr Marcus Hart, says, "I am delighted that we gained the seat of Franche and Habberley North from ICHC. I am very pleased to welcome Ben to this Group and it is great to have someone young with fresh ideas elected. He will be an asset to the Group, the Council and most importantly to the residents of his ward."
On the announcement of the election results, Cllr Ben Brookes said, "It has been fantastic to have been out talking with residents over the last few weeks. I am excited to represent the ward of Franche and Habberley North and work with my colleague, David Ross, to deliver on my election promises."
