Spennells County Councillor Marcus Hart is pleased to report that he spent last Thursday morning walking the newly resurfaced pavements along Captains Pool Road together with the local highways liaison engineer and the WCC engineer responsible for over seeing the project.

Marcus says, I am very pleased, overall with the work and so are the engineers. There are one or two minor snagging issues to be dealt with but this is in essence, 3km of resurfaced pavement.

Unlike with the surface dressing, I have received many positive comments about this work.

I have requested that some of the alley way footways are also done and also Heronswood Road and a timetable is currently being worked up and I will report back in due course.
