I have been out and about on Spennells this afternoon looking at a number of highways issues.

In particular, I have been inspecting the ongoing issues with the surface dressing on certain areas of the estate which are affected when we have very warm weather. The road surface is still 'fatting up' and rest assured I am in regular liaison with WCC highways to address this issue. Teams have been out 'dusting' the worst areas and I have requested and WCC have agreed to undertake further water pressure treatment work on roads that were not treated last year. I am advised by engineers that the areas where the treatment was done has been successful.

The work will be done later this year but cannot be done at the moment in the warm weather.

Rest assured I will keep fighting on this issue for Spennells residents.
