County Councillor for Spennells, Marcus Hart would like to thank all of the residents who contacted him last week with concerns over the remedial work to Spennells roads. After the work was completed last Thursday, Marcus was out and about on the estate himself at the weekend inspecting the work.

Furthermore, Marcus has today met with a highways engineer from WCC to look at the quality of the roads again and raise his concerns.

Marcus says, “ I have to say that I have told WCC highways that I am not happy with the state of the roads. With the bitumen showing and now the dusting with the chippings being deployed, whilst it may have tackled some of the issues with the bitumen, it looks a real mess and I have concerns over the quality of the work. I would like to reassure all residents I am determined to hold officers to account over this work and am demanding action to address these ongoing issues.”
