County Councillor for Spennells, Cllr. Marcus Hart is pleased to report that having been contacted by local residents with concerns with the land at the rear of Jay Park Crescent he has promptly made contact with Bovis Homes and asked for an urgent site meeting and has held a meeting with two of their representatives on site on Wednesday 14th October.
As a result of the meeting, they have agreed to urgently remove the tree that has fallen over the public footpath and are going to undertake a full survey on all of the trees over the coming weeks and carry out any necessary works. They have undertook to report to Marcus.
Marcus has asked that they look at the height of the trees and branches over hanging properties in Jay Park Crescent and has also requested that Bovis Homes consider their long term maintenance obligations in keeping the site in good order if they are going to retain ownership.
Marcus says, “I am pleased to be able to assist local residents in trying to get this matter sorted and will continue to press for action. I am told the tree should be removed on Monday 19th October and will keeping a close eye on this.”
