Thank you to the residents in Washington Street for their patience while the consultation and works were carried out to install double yellow lines at Washington’s junction with Claughton Street.
Due to the close proximity to Kidderminster Hospital, Washington Street has suffered from excessive on street parking, since car parking charges were introduced on Hospital sites. Tracey Onslow agreed with local residents that double yellow lines were vital at this junction, but the installation process, because of the necessary consultations, can be lengthy. Tracey was therefore very pleased when the installation date finally came through for March, but then feared of further delays, due to lockdown. However, even with highways works suffering delays firstly due to flooding and then due to Covid, they somehow managed to get the lines installed, much to the delight of local residents. Thanks to Worcestershire County Council Highways.
