I was first elected to Bewdley Town Council in February 2017, then re-elected in the local elections in 2019 when l was also elected to Wyre Forest District Council.
In my time on Bewdley Town Council l have served on the Finance (twice as Chair), Staffing (once as Chair), and Planning Committees. I also serve on the Road Safety Group, the Christmas Festivities Group, the Flood Emergency Group, and for a number of years was Chair of the Together Group, which met at Wribbenhall Parish Room to provide lunch and entertainment for the elderly.
I am a member of the Friends of Riverside North Park and also serve as a Trustee. Along with fellow Councillors l am also a Trustee of Millennium Green in Wribbenhall. I had the honour of representing Bewdley as Mayor for 2019.
As a District Councillor l represent Wribbenhall and Arley Ward, which encompasses working on behalf of Arley Parish Council and Kidderminster Foreign Parish Council. At District Council l sit on the Licencing Committee, the cabinet advisory panel for the Green Agenda, and during this council year l was a member of the cabinet advisory panel for car parks.
During my tenure l have worked with the Community Housing Association, the Wribbenhall Residents Association and residents groups in addition to meeting in person with individual people. I have also communicated via email and telephone in order to try to assist.
I very much enjoy living and being involved in Wribbenhall and the Parishes. My hope is to be allowed to continue helping local residents as much as possible.
