County Councillor Nathan Desmond is delighted to announce that he has provided the funding to enable new LED light bulbs to be recently installed across Hoo Road.
In total, 42 orange halogen lights were changed to a 27 Watt LED along the whole stretch of Hoo Road from the Chester Road South, right up to Ray Mercer Way. This was at a cost of £10,500 which was funded by Cllr Desmond’s devolved Highways monies.
Cllr Desmond said “ The new LED light bulbs along Hoo Road look amazing and I know local residents are really happy with them. They are far brighter than the old orange halogen bulb, much more eco-friendly as they use far less energy and each light can be left on all night, increasing public safety. I was eager to provide the funding as Hoo Road is a busy road with many houses and the lighting was in desperate need of an upgrade”
