Cllr Nathan Desmond has recently had the very worn road surface on the entrance to Birchen Coppice Primary School resurfaced and new safety road markings installed.
The school contacted Nathan about the large pot holes outside the school and more importantly the faded safety road markings by the entrance. Many vehicles were parking too close to the entrance - which was making the school drop off area very dangerous and unsafe for young children walking to and from school.
Nathan had Highways repair the worst section of the road and install new visible safety road markings that would prevent vehicles from parking by the school entrance.
Nathan said, “ The new safety road markings have made a big difference since they were installed the other week. I know the school and parents are delighted. It’s now far safer for children to walk to and from school and I know many local parents are much happier knowing vehicles are keeping the entrance clear for the children”
