County Councillor for Spennells Marcus Hart can report as follows, “Further to my update to local residents in October when I personally was able to secure the removal by Bovis Homes of the tree dangerously obstructing the footpath at the rear of Jay Park Crescent, I have been in regular contact with a representative of Bovis Homes regarding the management of the overall site, in particular in respect of all of the trees and he has requested that an arborist surveys the whole site.”

Marcus adds, “The land is subject to a blanket Tree Preservation Order (TPO) and any tree older than 47 years would require consent for work to be undertaken. I can confirm that I have spoken to the arborist on site and he is preparing his report and as soon as I have it, I will update residents on what they propose to do. I also have Worcestershire Regulatory Services looking at the site from an environmental health issue as a result of issues with a dead rat being seen in the location.”
