“With the State of the Area Debate, the Council has been consulting the public as part of the local Conservatives’ support for the local economy,” reports Cllr Paul Harrison.
As part of the ReWyre Regeneration Initiative, Wyre Forest District Council is working with urban design consultancy IBI Taylor Young to develop a Public Realm Design Framework (PRDF) that will provide a strategy for the future of streets and spaces in the Town Centre.
The PRDF looks at the environment at the core of Kidderminster. It concentrates on key areas including the spaces around the Town Hall and the Bull Ring, the future of Worcester Street and the route from the Town Centre to the railway stations on Comberton Hill.
Draft designs for these areas have been produced, which provide aesthetic improvements and suggest how these places function day to day.
The consultation material, including the draft designs are available electronically atwww.wyreforestdc.gov.uk .
